Chicago sportswriters and fans should lay off Kane

Patrick Kane plays hockey for the Chicago Blackhawks.  He is 5 foot 11 and weighs 181 pounds.  He is a scorer, he is not a bruiser, nor an enforcer. nor a defensive forward.  He is a scorer.  He was drafted to be a scorer, and here are his stats:  446 Games Played; 149 Goals; 275 Assists; 424 Points, 24 Game Winning Goals (the Game winner in OT to win the Cup for the Blackhawks) and 190 Penalty Minutes.  If you think that Patrick Kane is going to enforce like Tie Domi, or play defense like Frank Selke, then you do not know anything about hockey.  Patrick Kane is a scorer and when he can't score, he presses. He is not big enough to enforce, his game is not built to forecheck and pokecheck or take the body.  He is a scorer.  And when he scored last night, for some of the Chicago sportswriters to post such snide, smart ass tweets, well guys I just ask this question?  WHY?

The fans do not know any better, we are fans, which is short for the word FANATIC, get the picture.  But sportswriters are different.  They cover the team and the sport and should be professional about it.  They have the job that millions of sports fans wish they had, including me.  But to be so smart ass about it.  Guys, lay off Patrick Kane.  Let him get his game back.  The Blackhawks are but one game away from returning to the Stanley Cup Finals.  Just root for the team, the players, and be professional about it.

Come on!
