2013 Western Conference Championship: Game 3
Last night, faced with the prospect of going down 0-3 to Chicago, the defending champs played the game of the series so far. With Jonathan Quick coming back to Conn Smythe winning form, and with the Kings scoring a goal in each period, they hold off the Blackhawks to take Game 3, 3-1.
Quick made a save on Bryan Bickell from in close late in the third period that will make every highlight show for years to come. Duncan Keith thought he had a breakaway shortly before that, but the refs ruled a Blackhawk offsides, although it was very, VERY close.
Duncan Keith also was given a double minor on a high stick to Jeff Carter of the Kings. The League will review the tape and there could be a suspension coming for the Blackhawk Defenseman. We will have to see how Brendan Shanahan rules on this one.
