2013 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 3
The Blackhawks have to make a late scratch of Marian Hossa, before Game 3 even begins and then find themselves stonewalled by Tukka Rask for the first shutout and non one-goal game of the series. The Bruins score two in the second period and limit the Blackhawks to 28 shots on goal, all saved by Rask.
Game 4 on Wednesday now becomes a "must win" for the Blackhawks, because if they lose and go down 3-1 to Boston, you can kiss the Stanley Cup good-bye. Yes, the Blackhawks are good, but so are the Bruins. Neither of these teams could come back from being down 1-3 in the series, and Blackhawk fans better pray that it does not happen on Wednesday.
Hossa needs to play and Kane and Toews need to score and the Blackhawks need to play Blackhawk hockey, or this amazing season will fall a few games short and the Cup will reside in Boston until next June.
Can the Blackhawks tie the series, yes. Will they? Yes also. I have faith in this team. They will play their style on Wednesday in Game 3 and they will tie the series at 2-2.
SCORING:
BB:G: Daniel Paille A: Chris Kelly & Tyler Seguin
BB:PPG: Patrice Bergeron A: Jaromir Jagr & Zdeno Chara
Corey Crawford faced 35 shots and saved 33
Tukka Rask faced 28 shots and stopped them all to register the first shutout of these Finals
