The Blackhawks keep rolling along.  This time a Marian Hossa goal in OT defeats the Oilers and the streak reaches 19 straight games in which the team has gained at least a point.

Game 18: Blackhawks vs Columbus

The Blackhawks extend their streak to 18 games, as they defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets 1-0 behind 28 saves from Goalie Corey Crawford.

Game 17: Blackhawks vs Sharks

The Chicago Blackhawks set a new modern day record, as they defeat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 and gain at least one point in 17 straight games to start the 2013 NHL season.

Game 16: Blackhawks vs Canucks


The Chicago Blackhawks gave up 2 goals in the last 3 minutes of the game last night, to see the Canucks tie it at 3 all; only to win the game in a Shootout, thanks to the glove of Roy Emery.

The Blackhawks have tied the fastest start to a season, as they have gained a point in 16 straight games.  The mark was set first by the Anaheim Ducks.  On Friday night, the Blackhawks look to make a new record when they face the San Jose Sharks.

PS:  Marian Hossa took a forearm to the back of the head and fell to the ice.  He skated off on his own power, but did not return to the game.  He will be evaluated today.  All of Blackhawk Nation hopes it is nothing and he can return as quickly as possible to keep his fantastic season going.

2 goals scored, and then a forearm to the back of the head?  The league and Brendan Shanahan MUST look into this hit.

The Blackhawks lose in a Shootout against the Ducks, as Brandon Saad's chance to tie, is denied.  Chicago does however take a point away from the game and are still the ONLY team in the NHL that has NOT lost in regulation.

Game 9: Blackhawks vs Flames


In a wild finish, where both teams scored in the last minute of regulation, the Blackhawks went to a Shootout for the third straight game.  BUT, this time they came out on top when Patrick Kane scored and Ray Emery came up big and stopped Roman Cervenka to seal the victory.

Marian Hossa scored to send the game into OT, with under 3 seconds left in regulation.

The Blackhawks go to a Shootout for the second consecutive game and the results are the same.  This time they lose 2-1 to the Canucks.  Chicago now has a record of 6 wins, 2 SO loses.
