2012 Draft Pick Update

In the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks selected 8 players.  With the NHL Lockout in effect, let us see how these draft selections are doing.

Round 1:

Teuvo Terravainen LW

Playing for Jokerit, in his native Finland; he has 1 goal and 2 assists in 10 games, while playing 15 minutes per game.


Round 2:

Dillion Fournier D

Finally cleared to play (shoulder injury in March) for Rouyn-Norando of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.  He is plus-one with no points in 2 games.

Round 3:

Chris Calnan RW

He will play at Noble and Greenough for his Senior Season of HS, and will attend Boston College in the Fall of 2013.


Round 5:

Garret Ross LW

In 7 games he has 3 goals and 6 assists for the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League's Western Conference.

Travis Brown D

In 7 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League, Brown has 2 goals and 7 assists.



Round 6:


Vincent Hinostroza C

He is 2 games into his 3rd season for Waterloo of the US Hockey League, with 3 goals and 2 assists.  Was named USHL's Forward of the Week because of this performance.



Round 7:


Brandon Whitney G

Whitney has been in goal for 8 of Victoriaville's 9 games in the QMJHL.  He is 3-3-1-1 with 1 shutout for the Tigres.



Matt Tomkins G

Tomkins has played in 7 of his team's 11 games and is 5-2 for the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.  He has a 2.97 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.
